TeamTyrus Road to Recovery

Tyrus Harris is an exceptional teen.  On March 30, 2015 Tyrus was shot multiple times. He survived but has been confined to a wheelchair.  We are grateful that Tyrus is still with us but his life will never be the same. Tyrus is a star athlete and was heading to Wayne State to play college football. That dream has been shattered by a bullet. Unlike most teens in North Omaha, Tyrus is not into gangs and keeps himself busy by working and playing sports. He maintains a 3.6 GPA and will be graduating with honors next month.  He puts distance between himself and those that are affiliated with gang activity.  This incident may have left him with the inability to play football but he still aspires to go to college. His mother has had to leave her job in order to consistently provide care and support for him, as any mother would. We are seeking donations to help Tyrus on his journey of recovery.  Expenses this fund will cover include building an access ramp at his home and purchasing a vehicle in which he can be safely and comfortably transported.  No amount is too small!
