Saving Shadow - Leg Fracture Surgery
Donation protected
We are heartbroken that our beloved neighborhood cat Shadow, was found on 9/28 with a severe fractured leg.
After many veterinarian visits, we have decided to have fracture repair surgery for Shadow on Tues Oct 20th, and help her be back on her feet (all 4!) as soon as she heals!
This $7,000 goal will help cover the surgery and medication costs, our community greatly appreciates any contributions you can provide to this cat who has brought us nothing but joy these past many years. ❤
My venmo is available upon request to avoid fees!
How it all happened:
Shadow resides at MHT church where many members of the community come by to visit her to say hello, give her treats, and sit for a while to give her pats and snuggles on the sidewalk. One day we found her limping and using only 3 legs to walk - something was definitely wrong.
I first brought her to the SJ Animal shelter, however they were unable to treat her and put her up for as a "special needs" adoption, so I had to get her out ASAP. I then brought her to a real veterinarian, and she suggested surgery.
Below are x-ray images of her bad fracture.
This is how we saw her and knew something was wrong with her paw:
Shadow has been given a splint for now, in preparation for surgery in the upcoming weeks:
We hope to have her heal and return to normal, and be able to see her friendly face again!
Thank you so much for your contributions, we know Shadow thanks you too! ❤
