Save the Velvet Lounge

As many of you have been hearing over the last several months, the Velvet Lounge’s time may be coming to an end. Serving for over 30 years and hosting a plethora of shows over its existence, the Velvet Lounge has engrained itself as a staple in the robust Long Island music scene, providing a venue for wherein one could reliably find quality music in a unique atmosphere any day of the week.

 

For these traits which give Velvet Lounge it’s unmistakably unique quality, we felt it was imperative to attempt to prolong the business of the bar. This GoFundMe was created to, at best, generate the funds that would be necessary to continue business.  At worst, we plan to use any funds attained to ensure that the Velvet Lounge has a proper send-off, with a final party like no other.
