As a long-time patron and friend of The Book Shop, which has been located at 134 N. Citrus Avenue in Downtown Covina for the past 38 years, I was shocked to learn that their building has been offered for sale. I urge my fellow book lovers to rally to the aid of these booksellers to help them stay in their building and keep their doors open.

It is well known that operating a small business, let alone an independent bookstore, is difficult in any economy. Brad and Jen Johnson are passionate about preserving history and eat, breath, and sleep the printed word!
