Help Sparrow Breathe Again
Sparrow is our one-year-old special needs kitten who has already overcome so much in her short life — but right now, she’s fighting for every breath.
She was born with medical challenges and came to us after undergoing eye surgery to save what vision she could. Despite everything, she’s always been full of life — playful, gentle, and endlessly curious. She quickly became part of our family, loved not just by us but also by our dogs and other cats. Her resilience and sweet personality make her truly special.
A few days ago, Sparrow suddenly began struggling to breathe. She was rushed to the vet and placed on oxygen, where she’s remained ever since. Her lungs have been filling with fluid, requiring drainage and round-the-clock monitoring. She’s stable for now but still can’t come off oxygen yet, so she’ll need continued care and oxygen support at home when she’s finally able to leave the hospital.
So far, Sparrow’s care has already cost nearly $3,000, and today’s continued hospitalization and treatment are expected to add another $3,000–$4,000. We’re also preparing to purchase an oxygen setup and chamber for her to have at home, which will be another $1,000.
We’re asking for help to cover ongoing vet care, oxygen support, and her medical bills, estimated around $2,500–$3,000 to start. Every dollar helps us keep Sparrow comfortable, breathing, and on the path to recovery.
Sparrow means the world to us — she’s fought so hard for her life from the very beginning, and we’ll keep fighting for her too.
If you’re able to donate or share her story, it would mean everything to us. Thank you for helping give Sparrow the chance she deserves to heal and come home.
