Walking to Save RM ABC boxing club

I am raising funds in the hope to keep RM ABC Boxing club open. time is of the essence so we are hoping to do a couple of fundraisers first I plan to walk from our club in the centre of Warrington to the Great Orme in Llandudno, Wales. The walk itself is around 80 miles possibly more Depending on the route. I shall be making this walk Thursday, the 5th of December and expect it to take three or four days hopefully arriving late Sunday. I will be sleeping rough each night until we reach our destination. It’s an extremely challenging walk, 4 days, around 20 miles per day but really tough taking into account the weather in December and the freezing temperatures in the night. With the added struggle of carrying around a 15kg bag It’s no easy feat, but I wanted to do something worthy of your sponsors to save our community club. I am hoping other members of the club will join me. If not the full duration maybe for part of the walk together. Please contact me if you wish to join in and yourself fundraise. We hope to raise enough funds to be able to keep the club running. We currently need £11,250 by the New Year if we are to succeed.

You may ask why we need this money and the answer is we first got our lease five years ago in February exactly 2 weeks before the first lockdown. 9 months passed before we could look to any sort of opening with covid restrictions. And the government stop starting us and Danny working altogether. We accrued around £15,000 in rental arrears since then we have managed to pay some off but now as the lease comes to its end, we have been informed if the outstanding is not paid by New Year no new lease will be given. In adding I would like to mention Daniel and Sarah have partially funded the past five years from their own pockets. The club has never made even close to half of its rent each month, but Danny has paid it and volunteered every single night for the past five years without taking any money from the club he also invested all of their life savings to kit the community club out. We help so many people from all different backgrounds in many different ways, we deliver core boxing sessions completely free of charge, we take kids out on day trips, we have parties for kids too. I do believe I’ve never asked for help before and hope the community appreciate our efforts and can help us save the club. Moving forward should we make the 11,000 we will be taking funding and grants to continuing helping the community.
