Save Gig's life: Donate for Her Medical Treatment

New Update:
I wanted to share an update on our little fighter. She’s still with us and showing strength every day—even when things get a bit rough. After her surgery, she’s had a setback with an abscess and a drop in her red blood cell count. The vets have adjusted her meds, and we’re hopeful that this new treatment will help her bounce back soon.
I guess we are not out of the woods yet. There’s still a chance things could go sidewise, and we’re all a little worried about what the coming days might bring. It’s a reminder that recovery isn’t always a straight line. We’re doing everything we can to keep her safe and comfortable, and your support means the world to us during this uncertain time.
Every kind word, every donation, every share, and every bit of encouragement keeps us moving forward. Thank you for standing by us on this journey. We’ll keep you updated as she heals—hoping for brighter days ahead, even while we stay cautiously optimistic.
Update:
During her surgery, the vets had to remove significant part of her intestines, and right now, everything just depends on how she heals. She’s in an extremely fragile state—there’s a chance she’ll recover and come home to be her happy, loving self again, but there’s also the devastating possibility that she may not pull through, and I have to make that impossible decision.
Asking for donations has nir been easy, and I truly appreciate every bit of support you’ve all given. Because of your generosity, I’ve been able to cover a portion of her care, and I can’t thank you enough.
Please keep Gigi in your thoughts as we wait to see how she heals.

Gigi is getting the surgery!!
A week ago, she wasn’t herself—quieter, slower, something just off. I took her in, expecting answers. Instead, I got reassurances. Nothing to worry about, they said. A stomachache, maybe a passing discomfort. They sent us home without imaging, without urgency.
But she didn’t get better.
Today, a different vet, a different conversation. The truth revealed itself in scans and urgent voices: a blockage. One that will not resolve on its own. One that, without surgery, will take her life.
So I made the only choice I could. She is having the surgery. She will make it.
The cost—$4,262—is staggering. I have taken out loans, stretched credit, done what was necessary to make sure she gets the care she needs. But it is a heavy weight, and I am asking for help to carry it.
If you are able to contribute, it would mean the world—not just for me, but for Gigi, who deserves many more years of running, playing, and leaning against me with that quiet trust only a dog can give.
And if you cannot, your good thoughts, your kindness, your love for animals like her—those are just as valuable.
She is a fighter. She is coming home.
Thank you...
Update: she needs urgent and immediate surgery! Please help!!!
Hi Everyone, I’m Ryan Henson, and I’m reaching out for help for my baby, Gigi. Over the past several days, she’s been sick—really sick. She started throwing up uncontrollably late Thursday night, and since then, she’s had little appetite, nausea, and no energy. For a brief moment, I thought she was bouncing back, but now she refuses to eat or drink anything at all.
I’ve taken her to the emergency vet and to our regular vet, given her the prescribed medication, and tried everything I can to coax her into eating, but nothing seems to help. The emergency visit alone was very expensive and financially devastating, and now I’ve hit a wall. Simply put, I don’t have any money left for further treatment, tests, or medication. If she does not get better on her own, she will not get better. I am starting to get really worried.
As any pet owner knows, Gigi isn’t just a pet—she’s my family. She’s my shadow, my little troublemaker, and one of the best things in my life. It’s hard for me to ask for help. I’ve wrestled with it a lot, feeling like I should be able to handle this on my own and take care of her and be the provider. But I can’t and it's unbearably heartbreaking. Those Vet ERs are just too crazy expensive. I
So I’m humbly asking for your support. Any donation, no matter the amount, would help me get Gigi the care she needs. If you can't donate, please just share. If we’re blessed enough to raise more than necessary, I’ll donate all the extra money to the Humane Society of the United States, an organization dedicated to protecting animals and providing care to those in need. I want you all to feel comfortable knowing that I would be super grateful for your help. This is incredibly humbling.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for sharing it with your friends and family, and for any help you can give. It truly means the world—to me, to Gigi, and to her brother Mitchell.
