Save Elsa's Leg: Surgery Fundraiser

Hello, this is Elsa. She is a very sweet and loyal 2-year-old Chow Chow. I've had Elsa since she was 8 weeks old. Tuesday evening, she was home with my ex-boyfriend while I ran to a store. He called me and told me that she had run inside from using the bathroom and stepped on a toy, which then caused her to land on her leg and hurt herself. I have young children, so this seemed like something that could have happened. When I got home, she was showing no signs of being in pain, let me examine her leg, touch it, and bandage it. I let her sit on it overnight, and the next morning she was only limping but her normal self. I let her sit on it for a couple more nights since she was overall acting normal. Friday morning, I was very stressed that she was still limping, and my gut told me I needed to take her to the vet and have her checked out.

After having my vet examine her, he concluded that not only was her leg broken, it is her femur bone that is broken. we were initially quoted $5,000 through the first vet that did her exam but where referred to VOC in highland, IN.

After having an exam & X-ray done through VOC we were giving a final rough estimate of $3,200-$3,300.

It's been 7 days since her bone break, and 3 of those days she was at home and unmedicated.

Here I am coming to everyone for help.

I am currently not working and have no credit bureaus available for a loan. I am asking for help in a desperate time of need. My dog did not deserve this, and she is a very tough and brave dog to be holding in so much pain. Anything helps. Please, I ask on behalf of Elsa that we raise the money to get her help.
