Busy B’s is more than a storefront. It has been a lifeline for our community for years, welcoming families downtown and making sure children have a place to grow, dance, and belong.
What Happened
In just three years, flooding has damaged Busy B’s twice. The roof is now in urgent need of repair. While the shop continues to operate on a scaled back basis, storm damage has made it harder and harder to serve families the way it once did.
Why It Matters
The front of Busy B’s doesn’t just keep the doors open. It helps fund a youth dance and baton program that provides costumes, after school care, food, and a safe creative space for kids in an economically struggling region. At a time when many small downtown storefronts have disappeared, Busy B’s continues to hold on for the sake of the families who rely on it.
How the Funds Will Be Used
Donations will go directly toward:
Repairing and replacing the flood damaged roof
Stabilizing the building for the future
Sustaining the youth dance and baton program with costumes, after school care, and meals
How You Can Help
Every contribution helps. A gift does more than repair a roof. It keeps Busy B’s alive as one of the last community anchors downtown, and it ensures that local kids continue to have opportunities to learn, dance, and thrive. Please consider giving and sharing this campaign so that Busy B’s can remain part of our community for years to come.
Together, we can make sure Busy B’s continues to thrive and give back, even in the face of floods.
