The “Aquí No” collective in Topolobampo, Sinaloa, is battling inclement weather and a lack of services as they camp outside the ammonia plant that the Swiss-German subsidiary Proman-GPO is building—a plant that threatens marine life in Ohuira Bay, and everything that depends on it—the lives, customs, and worldview of the Yoreme-Mayo Indigenous communities, as well as the lives of hundreds of migratory birds.

Let’s support their fight, because preserving nature is everyone’s responsibility, and if they’re putting their bodies on the line, let’s contribute what we can to make their resistance even stronger.

El colectivo Aquí No en Topolobampo, Sinaloa, está luchando contra las inclemencias del tiempo y la falta de servicios mientras acampan a las afueras de la planta de amoniaco, que la filial suizo-alemana Proman-GPO está construyendo, y que amenaza la vida marina en la Bahia de Ohuira, y todo lo que de ella depende, la vida, las costumbres y la cosmovisión de las comunidades originarias Yoreme-Mayo y la vida de cientos de aves migratorias.

Apoyemos su lucha, porque la preservación de la naturaleza es tarea de todas y todos, y si ellos ponen su cuerpo, pongamos un poco de lo que tenemos para que su resistencia sea más poderosa.

Die Initiative „Aquí No“ in Topolobampo, Sinaloa, kämpft gegen die Unbilden des Wetters und den Mangel an Versorgungsleistungen, während sie vor den Toren der Ammoniakfabrik campiert, die die schweizerisch-deutsche Tochtergesellschaft Proman-GPO derzeit errichtet und die das Meeresleben in der Bucht von Ohuira bedroht, sowie alles, was davon abhängt: das Leben, die Bräuche und die Weltanschauung der indigenen Gemeinschaften der Yoreme-Mayo und das Leben von Hunderten von Zugvögeln.

Unterstützen wir ihren Kampf, denn der Schutz der Natur ist eine Aufgabe für uns alle, und wenn sie sich mit Leib und Seele dafür einsetzen, dann lasst uns ein wenig von dem beisteuern, was wir haben, damit ihr Widerstand noch stärker wird.
