Sadaqa Jariya for our beloved mother Sadia Ibrahim

In Loving Memory of our dear and beloved mother Sadia Ibrahim.

“To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.”

— Surah Al-Baqarah 2:156

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother , who returned to her Lord. Wife of Abulhassan Mahgoub and mother of Ali, Huda, Omar, Hind, AbdulAziz, Ahmed and Heba.

She touched the lives of so many with her warmth, humour, and generous spirit.

We ask Allah, the Most Merciful, to envelop her in his vast mercy, grant her a place in the highest ranks of Paradise with the righteous, the martyrs, and the truthful, and to bless her family and loved ones with patience and solace.

In honour of Sadia’s memory, we have set up this GoFundMe campaign as a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity). In Islam, giving in someone’s name is a powerful way to continue the blessings and rewards for them even after they have passed. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”

— Sahih Muslim

This fundraiser will serve multiple purposes:

Contributing to ongoing charitable efforts in her name — such as building wells, supporting orphans, or educational initiatives — that will continue to benefit her in the hereafter, inshaAllah.

We ask you to donate whatever you can, and more importantly, to keep Sadia in your duas (prayers). May Allah have mercy on her, forgive her sins, grant her the highest rank in jannah, and give patience and strength to all who are grieving her loss.
