Don protégé
On January 31, 2024, Johnathan was traveling to work on I-75 when he was involved in a horrific accident. He was rushed to Kennestone hospital where he was given lifesaving treatment in the emergency room and stabilized. He was then taken to surgery for the first of many surgeries. Over the next few weeks, he had multiple surgeries from his injuries. The entire left side of his body was crushed in the wreck and he sustained over 25 broken bones from his jaws to his legs. Johnathan was in ICU-Trauma for over six weeks.
Most of you are aware that not only is he a kidney transplant recipient, but he also survived a devastating stroke in 2014, where he had to learn how to walk all over again. Johnathan is a strong young man and it has been said by many that he is here for a reason and God must still have plans for him.
Johnathan is currently in a rehabilitation facility and in the last couple of weeks he has made terrific accomplishments. He is now able to eat, he has been on a feeding tube since the accident, which is key to him getting stronger and he was able to go outside for a few minutes as well. The downside is he still has a long way to go to even stand up and there is some brain damage, to what extent is unknown at this time. He does know who everyone is, but at times he is not himself. Please continue with your prayers. As everyone knows, times are tough for everyone and the expenses of going to the hospital for two months and ultimately getting him home where he can continue to recover, can be devasting to a family. So far, a Hoyer lift, two chair lifts and two wheelchairs have been purchased for his recovery once he is home.
What I am asking now, is if you have the ability to help Johnathan’s family with a small donation, it will be appreciated. Johnathan is doing his part and I believe we should make sure he has everything he needs to recover and fulfill whatever plan that God has for him. I am hoping that he will never ‘be in need’ of anything.
