More information about Day One: Day One's mission is to reduce the prevalence of sexual abuse and violence, and to support and advocate for those affected by it. Day One's vision is to create a community that is free of sexual abuse and violence through leadership and action that is responsive to the needs of the community. Day One was established in 1973 by a group of women concerned about the increasing problem of sexual assault and the lack of services and information available to victims and the public.
