Hello, and thank you for considering support for our work in rural Madagascar.

More than 20 years ago our director Raymond Ziviski first visited Madagascar and was struck by both its beauty and the severe challenges many communities face. Three years ago Raymond returned and visited Ambato Boeny and the village school in Ambohimarina. Many students there were severely malnourished, which affected their health, concentration, learning, and ability to thrive in school.

Since that visit, the organization committed to taking action. Nutritional support efforts were launched and, thanks to generous donors, a student nutrition program was funded last year. Rural Educational Connections has completed the official process to become a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, allowing the work to expand and impact more lives.

This year the mission has expanded to include four core programs: academic support, nutritional aid, medical assistance, and training initiatives that empower students and their communities. In addition to programming, the organization is supporting construction projects to improve school facilities and is working toward establishing the first clinic in the area to provide basic healthcare locally.

To make this vision a reality, the goal is to raise $40,000. These funds will cover travel and logistics as well as the critical costs of running programs on the ground. Every dollar donated goes directly toward feeding hungry children, supporting education, providing basic healthcare, and building sustainable solutions for the future.

When children are fed, they can focus. When students are healthy, they can learn. When communities are empowered, they can grow. The impact of donor support is clear, and with continued contributions even more can be accomplished this year.
