Running for My Family – A 24km Mountainous Half Marathon
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
This August, I’ll be taking on a 24km mountainous half marathon in the Brecon Beacons, pushing myself out of my comfort zone to support my family and the local village in Kenya.
Kenya isn’t just where I was born, it’s where my roots are, where my family still lives, and where my heart will always be. Life has never been easy for them, and while we do our best to support them, things have become even tougher with the rising cost of living. On top of that, my grandmother is facing some health challenges, adding even more pressure.
So, I’m taking on this challenge to raise whatever I can to make my grandmother’s life a little easier, ensuring she gets the care she needs and easing the burden on my family.
My grandmother is the kindest, most selfless person I know, she helped raise me and spent many years as a teacher at the local school, where she had a deep love for education. Even after retiring, she has always cared about helping young people in the community. That’s why, as well as supporting my family, a portion of the funds will go towards providing essential school supplies for local children, something I know would mean the world to her.
Every little bit helps, and I’d be so grateful for any donations. To get things started, I’ll be donating the first £50 myself.
Thank you so much for your kindness and support, it truly means the world to me, my family, and the local village in Kisii, Kenya.
