Jesseca Overland (18) is a graduate from Forest Lake High School who was pulling into her home driveway in Columbus, MN when she was struck by a vehicle and T-boned. She is currently in North Memorial Hospital in the ICU in critical condition, and is awaiting many surgeries and a very long recovery process.
She is currently still unconscious and is suffering multiple rib breaks on both sides, a broken pelvis, broken clavicle, and multiple organ injuries. As made obvious, she is in a rough state. However, if anyone knows Jesseca, she is a tough “stubborn” fighter and will pull through this!
Jesseca is a bright individual with a smile that can light up the darkest room, and a laugh that can turn anyone with tears in their eyes into tears of joy. She was planning on attending St. Cloud State University as a collegiate athlete, running cross country this fall and track in the spring. She has been a competitive runner ever since she could walk, and had many goals already set for her collegiate career.
Due to her condition, her medical expenses are putting a hardship on her family as they prepare for this long road of recovery. Donations from our GoFundMe will go towards all financial costs that have come from the accident. We are going to do our best to make sure that things go as smoothly as possible. Any donations will go towards Jesseca’s safe recovery home.
We want to give a warm thank you from us all, as we are receiving much love and prayers from communities all over. We are very fortunate and blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people with kind hearts.
