Michael and Micah Essien

On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, a family's world changed drastically when a husband and son were taken tragically and unexpectedly. A husband and best friend, Michael Essien, was a gentle giant. He was a protector and a provider who did everything he could to make his family happy. Michael was helpful to his church family and his community, and he was a deacon in his church who served God diligently and happily. Anyone who came in contact with Michael that needed help, he would help freely.

Micah Essien, the 2-year-old son, was a delight in the Essien household. He used to help in the kitchen even at such a young age. Micah loved his new little sister so much, and they were best friends.

Michael left behind a wife and two children, a 6-year-old and a 3-week-old. He was the sole provider for his family. We are asking for help and support from the community. His wife must bury her husband and son and still provide love and financial care for her remaining children.

The money will be used for burial expenses and financial support to raise her two children, who are left with no father or brother. We pray that God will help this wife and mother and give her strength and peace.
