Ruby’s Boston Surgery

This is Ruby, my wonderful friends, Courtney and Nate’s, daughter. Ruby has been through a lot in her 5 years on Earth. Her next challenge is a posterior tracheopexy in Boston in October. This is a painful surgery, that involves a hard, long recovery.  The outcome of helping Ruby breathe more easily will be worth it. 

I know her family would never ask for anything, but I am hoping to alleviate just a small portion of the stress that goes along with this type of surgery; the cost. While insurance covers much of the medical cost, the travel to Boston, as well as food, lodging, and transportation in Boston, is all out of pocket. That will be a significant expense as they are traveling from Arizona.  We are hoping to raise at least $2,500 for Ruby’s family, knowing that it won’t cover everything, but hopeful that it will help enough to make the surgery just a bit less overwhelming.
