Many of you have followed my marathon journey which started after I donated one of my kidneys to my friend in 2018. I started running in 2019 after the recovery period thinking I'd do London marathon for a charity and that would to be it. Then blues that hit me a few days after the marathon was overwhelming and I decided to try to do one marathon a year to get my 6 star medal before 2028 - the 10th anniversary for the transplant. I have tried to make a lot of publicity in regards of being a live donors around each marathon I do, with interviews both in newspapers and radio. This is still not a topic that people know much about - and if I can help someone else get a better life because I have given a possible donor peace of mind when it comes to being a live donor then I will be very happy.

I was a bit sad that I had not got into any of the majors this year as it would break my stride. I did London in 2021, Chicago 2022, New York in 2023 and Berlin in 2024.

A surprise phone call this morning from my travel agency changed all that as they have had a cancellation and I could have that space. I am over the moon about that as it is so difficult to get a space even through an agency ( I have been on the wait list for a while)

This is a bit last minute and it will be a real puzzle to get everything to add up, change the flights we already had for the Easter Holiday, get child care for the 9 year old and try to get some training in beforehand.

I would really appreciate any help that you could share. I know this is not a life or death fundraising situation, however it would really mean the world to me if you backed me in making the dream come true, it really would.
