For quite sometime, the Okumura’s have been fighting a quiet battle. During the pandemic Rowena was diagnosed with breast F$&# c^<+{¥.

Rowena always being independent and never wanting to burden or ask for help went through this battle alone with the support of her husband Brock and her children Drake(17),Kylie(15),and Trey(10). Rowena did well with her chemo treatments and total mastectomy.

After being in remission and going to follow up appointments she was informed that “it”had returned. She was getting treated for “it”returning on the operative mastectomy site. “It” also spread to other parts of her body and continued to get chemo treatment. Rowena went through all of this in silence and only with the support of her spouse and children.

Anyone that knows Rowena knows that she possesses a special power of positivity. What ever goal she makes for herself and family she achieves. Even during her most difficult and challenging part of her life she still chooses positivity, bravery, kindness, love, and aloha.
