Rocky’s Christmas Spirit

For those who might not know, our Santa passed away two weeks ago; and although my family and I are still reeling from the loss, I can hear my dad’s voice in my heart telling me that the people we help each year, still need helping.

Each year, my dad would put on a Santa suit to spread Christmas joy at different events for those less privileged than us. Over the past few years, I’ve gotten more involved and have come to see how much some local families depend on donated toys. We’ve expanded not only giving toys to kids but allowing struggling parents access to donated toys to give to their children themselves and means to feed/ clothe their families for the holidays. I’ve been humbled to see firsthand how much this means to a parent.

So, although my favorite guy won’t be in a red suit anymore, I’ll hold his Christmas spirit close and work to help those families in need.
