As many of you are aware the Saturday of Riverfest was very, very wet. Due to the weather, what is usually our best day at the gate, became our worse. Because of the lack of attendees, Riverfest is on the rocks. Riverfest is a not for profit event and all monies raised go to local charities including, but not limited to, St Andrews Lutheran Church and the 4-H Club. We have also donated to local Relay for Life Teams for the Canadian Cancer Society. Since we lost money at the gate this year, we are barely scrapping by to pay the bills and it does not look like we will be able to donate any money to our charities who benefit greatly from our event. We also had the unexpected cost of needing to fix up the Riverfest site from the rain/mud.
We are now turning to our dedicated bush rocker family for help. If you were planning to attend Riverfest and did not because of the rain, we would love your support by any donation amount. We are hoping to raise $5000.00. With this money, we will be able to cover our bills from this year and give back to our community like we always do. We take great pride in being a community minded event and hate to see our charities lose out.
Thank you to those who donate and we have our fingers crossed for better weather next year!
To those who attended and stuck out the rain, wasn't Saturday an amazing line up!
