As we all know Robert is an outgoing, funny, loud, likeable guy. Unfortunately Robert suffered an injury at work on December 7, 2017 and while he was in the hospital getting ready for surgery they discovered a health issue with his kidneys. He was then shockingly diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (a genetic disorder) even though he had no signs or symptoms. Over the past year his health has worsened and just when he was getting back to work over his ankle fracture he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 which is also known as end-stage renal failure. The only treatment for this is Dialysis, which he started 3 weeks ago, and/or a kidney transplant. Robert has been unable to work since he had his permacath port placed on November 14. He has applied for Disability, SSI, and other assistance but of course there is at least a 4-5 month waiting period before he even hears if he is approved (could possibly be longer). Robert currently has ZERO income to help pay for his bills, gas to and from Dialysis (which is 3 times a week) or doctor's appointments, medications, and even food. And as of yesterday he is back in the hospital at Methodist downtown Memphis due to a bad infection in his port which they had to remove. Robert will more than likely be in the hospital until after Christmas which is very devastating to him because he will miss spending Christmas with his 5 year old daughter, Pasyn. Robert has a big heart and has always been the one to take care of his family in their time of need and now he is the one who is needing help. Any amount or any help will be more than extremely appreciated. Thank you!
