Roanoke Ballet Theatre’s Pointe Shoe Fund

Roanoke Ballet Theatre’s pointe shoe fund has been created to help offset the cost of pointe shoes for our company dancers.

Pointe shoes cost about $120 per pair. With the long hours of rehearsals and shows, the shoes become “dead”, meaning they stop supporting the ballerina and the layers on the inside of the shoe break down.

This creates a huge problem for the dancers, not only can they feel the floor and every toenail they have, they are more prone to injuries when wearing dead shoes vs. new ones.

It would mean the world to everyone at RBT to reach our 3k goal by the end of the season in June. We truly cannot make this happen without your help!
