Road to Malaysia
Beschermde donatie
As my junior squash career is making the transition from high school to collegiate squash, I have the opportunity to represent Canada in the World Squash Championships- the highest level of junior squash. This year the event is being hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (July 30th - August 9th)
You may want to know “How did I get here?”
I was introduced to squash at the age of 11 by my dad. I enjoyed playing the sport with him and my twin sister and began taking it seriously by the age of 13. I eventually started competing at tournaments locally, provincially , nationally, and in the USA.
The selection process to make Canada’s team for the World Junior Championships was a gruelling 2 years, requiring travel in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and the USA to earn qualifying points.
My most recent accomplishments include:
-2nd place in Canadian National Championships (2019)
-3rd place in Canadian Junior Open (2018)
-3rd place (individuals) and 1st place (team) at the Canada Winter Games (2019)
-18th place in the US Junior Open (2018)
-3rd place in the Ontario Provincial Open (2019)
-3rd place in Ontario Provincials (closed) 2018
It is truly an honour to represent Canada at the World Junior Championships in both the individual and team events.
The Go Fund Me will be used to offset my travel and training costs. Any donation would be helpful and greatly appreciated!
Throughout my journey I will try to provide updates on my Road to Malaysia.
