UPDATE (5/23) UFC #10 LW RENATO MOICANO JOINS TEAM

UFC #10 ranked lightweight division fighter Renato Moicano has pledged to dedicate his next fight for Ita at UFC 317 in Las Vegas, NV June 28.

Renato now wears the teal ovarian cancer awareness bracelet on his wrist.

Ita & Andy visited Kingdom Martial Arts - Parkland, FL on 5/22 & 5/23 for BJJ/Kickboxing training.

Andy's birthday falls on June 28th. His wish is to be able to take his mother to Las Vegas and experience the fights in person supporting Moicano's corner.

Thank you to Renato Moicano, Marlon Moraes, and the entire Kingdom Martial Arts family for supporting Ita's 6-round chemotherapy championship fight.

UPDATE (6/10) FIGHT IS OVER - FUNDING EFFORTS CONTINUE

Ita has completed the prescribed course of treatments in Hematology Oncology with the highest courage, determination, and good nature.

Please help Mariela (a.k.a. Ita) with her outstanding medical bills totaling well over $100,000 for a hysterectomy & chemotherapy treatment procedure(s) at Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital.

Ita underwent a hysterectomy surgery in January 2025.

Ita was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in February 2025 after a biopsy pathology report.

Ita is currently unemployed.
