Move to Chicago for Union Work

Though many of you know me through the independent media project Orchestrated Pulse, I'm also a committed political organizer. I'm proud to say that next month, I'll be moving to Chicago to do campaign research for unionized low wage workers. 

Two weeks ago, I met some of the workers that I will be supporting.  They were putting into practice precisely the kind of political struggle that we've been theorizing at Orchestrated Pulse. The workers were in the heat of negotiations with their bosses, fighting for tangible long-term benefits and protections for all workers on the job. Their campaign is intensifying by the day and these workers are in dire need of tactical and strategic support, which it is my job to provide. After the meeting, one team member turned to me and said "we need you here, like yesterday."  

Unfortunately, my three part-time jobs don't pay much, so I don't have the cash for out-of-state moving expenses. 

- U-Haul from DC to Chicago
- Rental Deposit 
- Gas
- Travel expenses (e.g. food)

I'm reaching out to you all to help me move to Chicago and settle as soon as possible. With your support, I'll be able to help low-wage workers in the trenches of struggles against poverty and exploitation. They inspire me, and I'm looking forward to giving them my all, but I can't do it without your assistance.
