River Lux Naden is a beautiful, bright, and bold 3 year old boy. On March 18th, 2016, River was diagnosed with Leukemia. He began his fight against cancer that day.
River is the oldest of 4 children. Brighton (3) and Lumen (2) are his younger sisters and Calum (7 months) is his younger brother. His mommy's name is Lauren and his daddy's name is Matthew. They love each other very much.
What we know:
*River is a Superhero and is going to fight against Cancer with help from his family and friends!
*Lauren will be with River as much as possible BUT Lumen is still nursing and needs mommy to help her grow.
*Brighton and Lumen are NOT allowed in the area of the hospital that River has to stay in for his treatment.
*Matthew will be with River MOST of the time but will have some help from as many family members and close friends as possible. River is happy to have his daddy as his sidekick!
*Baby Lumen has a severe heart murmur and the doctor recommends that she has Osteopathic treatment to help her get better and grow the way a baby needs to grow
Good News:
*Most of the hospitalization and cancer treatment costs should be covered by insurance! Yay!
*As of 11/16/2017, there is NO sign of cancer in River's brain or spinal fluid. That's amazing!
Why GoFundMe?
*River's battle against Leukemia is a 3-phase treatment plan and will last about 3 years.
*During this time, River will have many hospitalizations as well as chemo treatments at a facility.
*Matthew will need to be with River most of the time since Lauren is nursing Calum and will be watching the three younger kids during this time. This means Matthew will have to take time off of work to be with River.
*Lumen's recommended Ostepathic treatment will NOT be covered by insurance.
*There will be extra fuel costs for traveling back and forth between home, the hospital, and facilities.
*There will be extra costs for items River will need at home to help him be comfortable and safe. If River's temperature goes above 101.5 while he is at home, then he will have to go back to the hospital.
