Ride It Out seeks to teach PTSD effected law enforcement, first responders and military veteran’s mountain bike riding and maintenance skills as an alternative therapy. The psychological benefits of cycling can serve as an additional coping mechanism to traditional clinical based therapies. Ride It Out strives to raise PTSD awareness and break the stigma related to PTSD, while also serving as a peer support network for its participants.

Funding allows us to provide a bicycle fleet, parts, maintenance, skills training, rides and other related events.  An important part of our PTSD therapy strategy is to provide an opportunity for participants to experience the peace and serenity of the outdoor environment typical of a single track mountain bike experience.
