Rickies Kick Cancer Cash

Joyful, bright, cheerful and welcoming are words to describe Rickie. If you know her you will agree she is an advocate for positivity and light in the community.

Earlier this summer Rickie was diagnosed with a rare form of Endocervical Invasive Adenocarcinoma. She withheld the information from most people as she gathered the information needed with her medical team to plan how she would kick this cancer to the curb.

Her treatments will consist of radiation five days a week for the next five weeks and chemotherapy one day each week for five weeks. After these five weeks of treatments, Rickie must be admitted and sedated for three consecutive days as they will administer radiation each minute directly to the tumour. Currently, her cancer is at stage 1, but the tumour has been diagnosed as aggressive and is at stage 3.
