Merry Christmas Friends & Family! Yes, it’s that time of year! A time for family, friends, laughing, loving, sharing and giving! I can’t thank all of you who have given over the last 7 years enough! My heart is always so full by all of your love, generosity and helping us honor our son by helping many families by taking care of their layaway at Christmas! Though there are many stores that have either closed or have discontinued layaways this year, I have still found several who are accepting layaways for Christmas! Once again, please join me in celebrating the true joy of Christmas, giving to others and spreading holiday cheer! Last year after paying off the layaways, we had several hundred dollars more that came in, in donations, so we decided to visit Walmart on Christmas Eve and we gave out several $100 gift cards to customers in the store. We said a prayer before going in and asked God to direct us to a few people who could really use some help this year! He did just that! It is amazing what showing a little love and kindness will do! One of the families had just lost the children’s Daddy. Their Mother started crying and gave us a big hug while telling us of their recent loss. The children were still pretty young and they had very limited income as their was no insurance. How would we have known that? We didn’t! God led us to that Mother. Also, a lady who couldn’t afford groceries and only had a couple items in her cart. She also shed tears and said now she could afford to buy the groceries she needed. It was just so humbling and heartwarming! We of course, shared the story of losing our son and all of our friends and family who have donated to Richie’s Layaway Angel’s to help others while remembering our son and his loving spirit! We would like to do the same this year with a portion of the donations! Please help us help others! No donation is too small! Together, we will once again make a difference in many families lives and show them some love and the true meaning of Christmas!!!
