9/13/22 update for the couch

I have spent the past two mornings with oncologists in two different medical centers, and they both agree that we are facing stage 4 melanoma, metastatic to the lymph nodes, bones, and liver. The next moves are to scan the brain (MRI) and hope there's no growth there. The outlook is not spectacular, but there are some "generally accepted" forms of treatment including immunotherapy. I will be starting off with some 2 hour IV infusions and hope they can show some promising response. The oncologist in Grass Valley said that basically that melanoma metastates that show outside of the lymph nodes are not curable; we will be hoping for comfort and hope that the growth happens slowly or in places where it doesn't suck too badly. I'm gonna keep on truckin and hope to see you all out on the road sometime over the next two years... if that's what they are giving me then I'm gonna make a list, check it twice, and maybe end up at some goose shows with my naughty/nice list.
