Honoring the Life of Ricardo McNeal Sr.

Our father, Ricardo McNeal Sr., was a hardworking man, a devoted husband, a loving father of three children, and a proud grandfather to five grandchildren. He had a heart of gold, a deep faith in God, and a generous spirit. One of his favorite sayings was, “It’s just money; we work to get it back.” He lived his life by those words, always giving and caring for others.

In April 2023, my mother, Regina Jackson, passed away after a brave battle with colon cancer. My dad dedicated himself to caring for her in the year leading up to her passing. Just a week after losing his beloved wife, he also lost his big brother, Walter. Despite these heartbreaking losses, my father pressed on, caring for his grandchildren and working to find solace in the face of grief.

Sadly, on December 22, my dad unexpectedly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. This was the last time we spoke to him, as he went into cardiac arrest and was called home on December 24—Christmas Eve.

Our father always expressed his wish to be cremated, and the burial niche for his urn has already been arranged. However, we need your help to honor him with the memorial service he deserves. We want to send him off the way he would have sent off any of us—with love, dignity, and respect.
