Elliott & Zoe’s dream wedding ❤️‍

Donation protected
This Go Fund Me has been set up to help contribute towards an amazing wedding day for Elliott & Zoe. In January 2023 Elliott was diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumour with a prognosis of 12 months.

This has been absolutely devastating for Elliott & all of his loved ones. It is something we really didn’t expect him to be tackling at just 47 years old. It is going to be a difficult journey with treatment starting in the coming weeks but we believe it is now crucial that he & Zoe get to have their special day together, it’ll just be a little sooner than planned. For them to be surrounded by their loved ones & make memories with their young children & important people.

We are very grateful for any contribution, big or small

❤️

Back story:
Just before Christmas Elliott had an unexplained seizure requiring him to be rushed to hospital & taken in for monitoring. From there he had to be blue lighted to John Radcliffe Oxford hospital for more in-depth scans to be performed. The doctors confirmed a lump had been found on his brain & it was the pressure from that which caused him to have the seizure. Further investigation was needed to confirm if this was a lump from his NF, a condition he lives with, or something more sinister.

After lots of waiting, it was confirmed that the lump found on Elliott’s brain was a tumour & it had to be removed as soon as possible. We were told they believed the procedure would be simple enough due to the tumours size & location & they felt optimistic they could get it all from what they could see. After even further full body scans, no cancer was found anywhere else in Elliott’s body which felt like such positive news.

Once the surgery was complete & most of the tumour removed, Elliott was able to come home on December 23rd to spend Christmas with his family. He was of course exhausted from brain surgery & still on lots of steroids & anti seizure medication.

On January 5th, Elliott & Zoe drove to John Radcliffe to be told the results of the biopsy. The doctors confirmed that Elliott’s tumour on the outside of his brain was not the only one found & he had a further 2, much deeper, that were devastatingly inoperable. Brain tumours called Glioblastomas. Stage 4 cancer.

The prognosis he has been given is 12 months with, of course, the hope of longer with treatment. This news has been devastating for him, his partner, his young children & all of his loved ones. Telling his children & trying to have them understand what this meant was the most heart breaking thing we have ever had to do. This is not something you could ever be prepared for.

Moving forward, it is so important that despite how heartbroken & scared we are, we try to remain positive with the time we have together. We will be making memories & surrounding Elliott with people that love & care about him.

Both Elliott & Zoe have already received such an outpouring of love, support & offers of financial help that will never be forgotten & are truly grateful.

As a family, we thought we would set up this page for anyone who would like to with help raising donations, no size too small, to help contribute towards putting on their dream wedding & making memories with their loved ones that will last forever.

Here’s to Mr & Mrs Lowe ❤️
