Resurface Mansfield's Manor Park Community Astro Turf

North Notts Hockey Club has been an integral part of the sporting community in Mansfield since 1957. We currently have a thriving adult and juniors section with 100+ children training with us each week

We have been based at Manor Park since the mid 1980's when the Astro pitch was laid, and in that time generations have enjoyed playing Hockey as part of a vibrant club at the heart of our town.

The current playing surface was replaced over 25 years ago and due for replacement in 2019, but then COVID struck and everything stood still.

At that time the pitch was managed by the Academy, who decided to close the facility until further notice and heartbreakingly the club had to watch as the surface fell into disrepair.

Commuting to nearby Worksop, the club survived COVID and worked with the local council to acquire the lease and spent over £10k to get the pitch back to a standard that it could be used.

Unfortunately this can only be a temporary solution, the shock pad which cushions the surface has now failed, there is significant wear to the surface and damage to the pitch drainage leading to frequent flooding and a great deal of work by our members to clean and clear.

We have opened the pitch to local football clubs and sports clubs, and we desperately want to have a state of the art facility for our community.

BUT we need you!! All we are asking is that each person in our town donates £1 (or more if they choose) which is less than a cup of coffee. If we all pull together, we will deliver a new facility for our town and future generations.
