Help Lay Ebony and Baby Kemy to Rest
Hello my name is Jamice and I am the cousin of Ebony and Kemy Washington
Our hearts are shattered as we mourn the unexpected loss of Ebony Washington and her precious 1-year-old daughter, Kemy Washington, who were tragically found deceased. Ebony was a mother who faced her share of challenges in life but always tried her best for her family and loved ones. Baby Kemy was her joy – a bright, energetic soul who loved watching Grace’s Corner and Paw Patrol. Her laughter and curiosity brought light to everyone who knew her in her short time with us.
This unimaginable tragedy has left our family heartbroken and unprepared for the financial burden of planning their funeral and burial. We are humbly reaching out to our community, friends, and anyone whose hearts are moved to help us honor their lives with the dignity and love they deserve.
Your support will go directly toward covering the funeral, burial costs, and related expenses. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference and bring us closer to giving Ebony and Kemy the peaceful rest they deserve.
If you’re unable to donate, please share this page to spread the word. Your prayers, kindness, and generosity mean the world to us during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
She leaves behind her 9 year old daughter Karmony and she needs all the support she can get
*Update as of July 24, 2025* - I would like to inform GoFundMe that all future donations will now be directed toward supporting Ebony’s oldest daughter. My goal is to ensure she receives the emotional, educational, and everyday support she needs as she begins the journey of healing and rebuilding her life after the tragic loss of her mother and baby sister.
The funds will help cover her ongoing and future needs, including but not limited to:
- Counseling and mental health services to support her through the grieving process.
- Clothing and personal care items.
- Nutritional support, including healthy meals and school lunches.
- School supplies and tutoring support—particularly to help her continue improving her spelling.
- Extracurricular activities and enrichment programs that foster emotional growth and social engagement—she’s especially interested in swimming, arts and crafts, baking, and recently, she’s been excited to learn how to skate.
- Savings for her future educational goals, including college or vocational training.
