Residence-young disabled women
Donation protected
In a small village 3 1/2 hours north of the capital city of Ghana, West Africa, YOU CAN HELP US CHANGE THE WORLD. Our NGO, the Sky is My Limit, has built a workshop, kitchen house, and residence for up to 8 men. It is our goal to build a residence for women as soon as possible. Right now we have three women living in quarters that have been built next to the housemother's residence, originally intended for use by the international director who lives in Canada. We hope to have space for 8 young women in their own residence. At our site, The Sky House, we provide housing, training and support for our residents. We are helping them gain enough skills to move into the community and have full and happy lives. Ghana has a poor track record for accepting people with disabilities. We have made it our mission to include the local community in our endeavors. They have welcomed our residents unlike anywhere else in Ghana. We are a shining example of what can be achieved through inclusion and support. Check out our website: theskyismylimit.com
