I'm reaching out to ask for your help with a dog who has heartworms. This dog was found about three days ago and was taken in by a neighbor who then abandoned him. When my sisters and I got home, he was patiently waiting outside our house for someone to let him in from the heat. After this, my family and I decided to take him to the vet to see if he had a chip, but unfortunately, he did not.

My sister and I recently learned about his condition: he has heartworms. The initial vet visit to treat his fleas, get recommended injections, and address some small worms in his heart came to $309. However, the major expense is the treatment for the adult heartworms, which is very pricey, ranging from $900 to $1,500.

On top of that, he is also not neutered which then adds more to the medical bills because we were told that one of his testicles is down and the other one is up so during surgery it will be complicated due to having to search for his upper testicle.

He is so sweet and obedient, we are doing everything we can to help him. Even just $1 makes a difference in helping him beat heartworm disease.
