Miami Rowing Youth-Lead Fundraising

We are the youth members of a small yet successful rowing club based in Miami, FL known as the Miami Rowing Club (or MRC for short). MRC's vision centers on improving the lives of kids between the ages of 12-18 by exemplifying hard work, determination, and persistence through daily practice. Miami Rowing Club has a long history of creating outstanding rowers who have been recruited to some of the top universities in the world including Princeton, Harvard, Yale, Brown, Pennsylvania, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth and MIT just to name a few.

In order to improve our race results as well as the "recruitability" of our elite MRC athletes, rigorous practice both on and off the water is necessary.  Fortunately, we have been blessed with a beautiful body of water in front of the Miami skyline which we call our home. Here we are able to practice on our state, regional, and national level boats. Unfortunately, our land equipment over the many years of use have slowly degraded causing a detrimental issue. Most of our equipment for both lifting and "erging" is either broken or too old to effectively train at an elite level. Without the proper weight lifting machines and ergs, our Club will be affected both on and off the water as our race results will decline and our athletes become less appealing to college recruiters. 

So we ask if you could please donate. The money will be used to improve our gym and buy new ERGs. Any contribution to our Club will greatly benefit our rowers.
