Renovation of Ward 6 at Connaught Hosp Freetown

Connaught Hospital is the principal referral hospital in Sierra Leone. Opened in 1912, Connaught hospital has played key role in the country’s  health events: catering for war wounded patients during the ten year civil conflict- catering for Ebola patients which killed nearly 4000+ people in 2014- catering for victims of the disastrous mudslide in 2018 in which over 1000+ people lost their lives and many were displaced.

Ward 6 is a 28 bedded internal medicine mixed ward for adults. Over the years it has fallen into disrepair. Though patients continued to be looked after in such an unhygienic healthcare environment. (See photos).
