Remembrance Sunday 2025 – Supporting Help 4 Homeless Veterans
“In honour of all who served and sacrificed.”
On Sunday 9th November 2025, the community of Greasbrough, Rotherham will come together for a special Act of Remembrance — a day to pay tribute to all who served, to reflect on the cost of freedom, and to support those who still carry the burdens of service.
This year, we’re proud to be raising money for the Help 4 Homeless Veterans charity, a UK organisation dedicated to providing housing and support to ex-servicemen and women who have fallen on hard times.
Our Goal
In the lead-up to and on the day of the event, we’re aiming to raise as much as possible to help veterans rebuild their lives. Every donation, big or small, will go directly to Help 4 Homeless Veterans, ensuring those who once stood ready to defend us receive the care, dignity, and stability they deserve.
️ About the Event
The day will begin with a church service at St Mary’s Church, Greasbrough (10:00am), followed by a veterans’ march and Cenotaph service at 10:45am. Later, everyone is invited to The Greasbrough Club for a community gathering featuring a performance by The Daisy Belles, and a free hog roast for all attendees — a heartfelt thank you to those joining us to remember and give back. It’s a free, family-friendly event, but we kindly encourage donations — every penny truly makes a difference.
Community Spirit
This event is organised in partnership with KCM Waste Management and Spartan Site Solutions, whose support has been vital in bringing our community together for such a meaningful cause. We're also proud to partner with local schools by getting the children involved by making poppy displays.
