Remembering Steve: Fund a Ministry Student’s Path

Reverend Steve Saunders lived a life in the service of God, as a church planter, pastor and missionary. He attended Southern Wesleyan University and went on to serve in ministry in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Suriname, South America. He was well loved by all his parishioners because of his caring spirit. Towards the end of his ministry career, Steve was a part of a group of veteran pastors who mentored young pastors starting out in their own ministry. This was very near and dear to his heart.

On July 7, 2015 Steve was in a fatal motorcycle accident. Such a terrible loss for our family, but definitely heaven’s gain! We all miss him so very much.

This year, on the 10 year anniversary of his death, our family would like to offer a fundraising opportunity in Steve’s memory for a deserving ministry student scholarship at Southern Wesleyan University. We are asking, if Steve had an impact on your life, would you consider donating to this scholarship fundraiser? Our family can think of no better way to honor Steve’s life and ministry, than to contribute financially to the educational advancement of a ministry student so that they may go on to impact our world for Jesus Christ.

It is our hope to deliver this scholarship in person to Southern Wesleyan University once all the contributions are given. Thank you all and God bless you!
