Remembering James Parker: Supporting His Family
With heavy hearts, we are organizing this donation page to remember and honor the remarkable life of James Parker, a loving husband, father, son, Olympian, and exceptional coach. On August 19th, James tragically lost his life doing what he loved most—exploring the mountains with one of his cherished sons by his side. He was just 47 years old, leaving behind his beloved wife Kami and their six beautiful children.

James was a dedicated father and husband and was well-loved by numerous family and friends, who he was often serving. From a young age, he was an extremely talented athlete, leading him to be a three-time National Champion in the Hammer throw, and then an Olympian in Greece in 2004. He became an amazing coach later in life to one of his peers, a Paralympian, guiding him to a gold medal in Rio in 2016 and another gold in Paris World Championships in 2023.

His quiet and humble nature spoke volumes about his character. His focus was never on his own achievements, but rather on the needs within his own family. His true fulfillment came from nurturing his wife and children, for whom he was an irreplaceable cornerstone.

He was a well-respected chiropractor, helping many people over the years, and improving their well-being. He not only was an Olympian, but he also volunteered his time for weeks on end to travel with Team USA med staff at great personal expense to help Team USA athletes perform at their best in the Olympics and World Championships in Track and Field. James also spent time serving his country in the Air Force. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A great neighbor and friend, a devoted family man and a devoted follower of Christ.

James's legacy will be cherished and revered. His deep connection with his kids and family has left a sudden absence and immense void, that words can scarcely express. As we mourn his loss, we recognize the importance of coming together to support his family during this incredibly difficult time.

We have established this GoFundMe campaign to provide a helping hand to James's family as they navigate the challenges ahead. The funds raised will go directly towards alleviating the financial burdens that come with raising six children and tending to the needs that James held closest to his heart. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant impact and is truly appreciated by his dear family.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your network to extend our reach and offer solace during this trying period.

Let's come together to celebrate the life of an exceptional individual who graced us with his presence, love, and selflessness.

With gratitude and love,

David Blair
