Hi, my name is Kimberly and I lost my son on April 2nd, 2021. Jadiel was only 5 days old when he passed, but he still made an impact in this world, especially in our hearts. Our journey started when my water broke at 24 weeks, leaving me in the hospital for a month and a half. During that time, he continued to grow until 30 weeks, when he was born on March 28th. He was such a calm, sweet baby who was taken immediately to the NICU.
His death was such a shock to me and my family as he was doing very well. On the morning of April 2nd, Jadiel had a heart rate of 190-200. The NICU doctors started to treat him as he was also suffering from his Bilirubien numbers coming up. Around 3 in the afternoon, I consented to a blood transfusion, and his heart rate went down to 45 while I was holding him. NICU began more treatment, by air, X-Ray, etc when his heart rate went up to 110-120. Hours later around 7, I get a call from the doctors stating my son was in critical condition. I rush back and go to the NICU section when I see my son in very sick condition with a neonatologist doing chest compressions. My son sadly passed away at 7:56 PM, thankfully I got to be with him and hold him one last time before he passed.
These funds would be a great help to pay for the rest of his funeral bills, as my family can only come up with so much. This would pay for the cemetery charges, his casket/vault, along with other charges for the funeral home. Any money contributed will be with me, his mother, and will be needed by Thursday morning. Anything helps in this heartbreaking, tragic moment.
