Mike"s Car Fund

Sometime between 11pm on 2/9 and 6am 2/10 my handicapped equipped car was stolen out of my car port. I suffer froma nerve condition called Chronic Inflammatory Demylenating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) and  have lost the use of my legs. I am confined to a wheelchair. The car was fitted with hand controls that allowed me to drive with no problem. Losing it is a major blow to my getting back to a more normal life. I used it to get my 8 and 13 year old sons to and from school, get groceries, doctor, etc. In addition, I was to begin training the same morning it disappeared at Home Depot after working for months to get on with them. I also made a resolution to go to church with the boys this year and so far we have been every week exept when it snowed. I hate to break the rythm.
I am desperately hoping that the car can be recovered, the boys and I had a very warm place in our hearts for it. However, I need to begin facing the fact that is likely I will have to replace it.
The hand controls run about $1500 or so and will have to be installed after I find a vehicle.
I loathe having to ask for help but the cards life has dealt me require that my pride be set aside.
