Relief Funds for Wayne and Jeri Hagan
On Tuesday, July 30 at approximately 8:35 a.m., a 911 call was received reporting a motor vehicle crash on the Wampanoag Trail. That morning changed the lives of two very special people. Our beloved friends and community members Wayne Hagan and his wife Jeri Hagan were involved in a terrible car accident. They were hit from behind by an impaired driver going 90 Miles Per Hour. This impact sent the car 300 feet off the road and left Wayne seriously injured and Jeri suffering injuries both physical and emotional. Wayne is still in the Hospital in ICU suffering a number of very serious injuries and while their insurance is good the financial road is long and difficult. The recovery will be one that entails a lot of special care and will be difficult for just Jeri to handle on her own. That being said there will be some additional unforeseen costs that will come up as they adapt and grow into their new routines.
Anyone who knows Wayne in the Rock and Mineral world knows he is one of the most loving and caring community members around. He is more generous than most and has given away more free handmade jewelry pieces than anyone else around, and I can say that confidently. Jeri is loving and donates her goodwill and time to helping other people and together they lead by example and make this world better. They have never asked for anything and this should not have happened but as a community we can rally together and make this healing process a little bit easier for them both.
If we all can give just a little bit it will go a long way and I know that this community is one of the most impressive communities in all the world. We are all friends, family and we will always watch out for one another. Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for any donation you can find yourself making. If you can not donate please share the campaign so we can get as many eyes on this as possible.
