A New Beginning for the Reilley Family

On the afternoon of Monday, June 27, 2011, the home of Mariah, Danny and Carol Reilley caught fire. Thankfully everyone made it out of the apartment, and no one was injured. The fire department did an amazing job containing the fire to just one apartment, but unfortunately the Reilleys lost their home and their belongings.
Mariah, Danny and Carol have lived in their apartment since 1994. Mariah will be going into 8th grade and earned straight A\'s and high marks throughout her 7th grade year. Danny is a senior in high school with high honors in the magnet program. Carol has been the manager of the apartment complex for twenty-two years, a gymnastics instructor and works hard to support her family.
It seems beyond unfair that the Reilleys would suffer another devastation after the loss of Tom Reilley, father and husband, in 2001. The fire, electrical in nature, spread rapidly throughout the apartment and destroyed all contents. While insurance will provide some relief, there are many upfront and uncovered costs (e.g. post-braces retainers at $500 each, replacement of computer and appliances, etc). Mariah, Danny and Carol will not be able to move back into their apartment for 4 to 6 months.
Neighbors in the Reilleys\' complex have created this donation website. It is our hope this website will provide friends, family and community members the opportunity to help when sometimes it is difficult to know how to help. Whether you can contribute $1, $5, $25, $50 or more, any and all donations will go directly to the Reilleys and are greatly appreciated. Imagine what losing one job, losing your home and belongings and being displaced might do to your family.
