Registered Nurse Donna Kirkendall Needs HELP
Spende geschützt
Donna, a surgical nurse at University Hospital, was injured and became disabled as a result of exposure to toxic chemicals. She has spent years searching for treatment. This injury has cost tremendously -- not just financially -- and her pain and suffering continues to this day.
Even after years of trying to avoid chemicals that are harmful to her, many of which people generally consider to be "safe," her reaction is so serious that it could shut her vital organs down. Environmentally-safe housing is extremely important if she has any chance of relief and survival.
If that was not enough, this beautiful woman's apartment had a toxic mold infestation. All our belongings: bedroom, living room sets, clothing, and most hurtful of all personal belongings from loved ones have been affected. Even food had to be disposed of because of the mold contamination. Management moved her to another apartment, knowing that her doctor advised in writing of her fragile medical condition. This new apartment also has mold as well as high V.O.C. (volatile organic compounds) outgassing. So it is truly no better than the toxic apartment she left.
Not a soul on earth should have to suffer the way this woman has been and continues to. She has missed weddings, birthdays, holidays, and everyday events that the rest of us take for granted. Her two boys have grown up without her total attention and that has hurt her tremendously.
Donna's medical expenses have devastated her. Her credit card debt is approximately $26,000.00. Her vehicle is 23 years old. I (Richard) drive her to all her appointments and to go shopping. I take care of the cooking, laundry, cleaning, and comforting. I try to encourage her that people will come to her aid.
As previously mentioned, I have been unsuccessful in finding her safe housing. I suggest that maybe an environmentally-safe travel trailer could be a safe haven for her and I located a builder who makes a special type of trailer that would be safe for Donna. He has one in his inventory for approximately $64,000.00. I do not how long he can hold it for us. Donna was unable to secure a loan and with mounting expenses, it appears unlikely that we will be able to afford the trailer.
PLEASE! Do what you can. Safe housing, a safer vehicle, and a prayer of two for my fragile flower could help her heal.
