Recovering from injury & unemployed

Spende geschützt

My name is Richard Barath and I'm married to Shirley and we have 2 amazing kids. My wife suffers from fibromyalgia. Here's our dilemma:
Since leaving Army active duty status in 2014 of 14 years I've been struggling to find the appropriate employment opportunities. In June 2017 I broke my middle finger which required surgery and being in a cast for 1 month. Shortly after surgery I went back to work with the cast instead of resting and backed into a telephone pole which resulted in termination of the job and a denial of unemployment benefits. I'm several months behind on my mortgage nearly $6,000 or so behind and all utilities are near disconnection status. To add to the woes of losing my job our only vehicle was totalled and we are now without a vehicle. My credit has taken a big downfall over the last 3 years so attaining another vehicle is a struggle especially without employment. On the bright side I qualified for food stamps, delayed the foreclosure hearing for now and finally started occupational therapy so I may regain motion into my hand.  I had generous former Army co-worker who graced my children with school supplies and clothes. Any money that is so kindly donated will be used for utilities first and providing for my family. If I can find a reliable cheap vehicle that would be next on my priority list to get the family around and to get to work once work is found. I'm normally very quiet when it comes to problems like these but I'm desperate for assistance to get back on my feet. Thank you in advance for any donations/assistance and for taking the time to read my problems.
-Richard
