Help Me Rebuild My Home and My Life
My name is Holly, and asking for help is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
This year has brought more challenges than I ever imagined possible. Earlier this year, I lost my husband to suicide. While I was still trying to cope with that devastating loss, my home was damaged by a fire. Since then, I've been living through the long and frustrating process of rebuilding while navigating insurance delays that have left me struggling to move forward.
I also live with Multiple Sclerosis, which has made the physical work of rebuilding and the stress of everything that has happened even more difficult. Even so, I've refused to give up.
I've spent months doing everything I can to rebuild my home, document my insurance claim, search for employment, and keep moving forward one day at a time. I'm an accountant with nearly 20 years of experience, and I'm actively working to return to my career. My goal is not to rely on others—it's to get through this difficult chapter and become financially independent again.
Unfortunately, the timing of everything has created a financial gap that I can't bridge on my own. My mortgage forbearance is ending while parts of my insurance claim are still unresolved, leaving me with immediate expenses and limited resources.
I'm asking for help to cover essential needs while I continue working through the insurance process and rebuilding my life. Donations will go toward:
Mortgage payments
Utilities
Essential household expenses
Costs associated with rebuilding my home while I wait for my insurance claim to be resolved
Medical expenses
If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean just as much.
I know brighter days are ahead. I'm determined to rebuild my home, return to work, and create a stable future. Every donation, every share, and every message of encouragement helps me take another step toward that goal.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for being part of my journey forward.
